People have asked me how long it takes for me to do my hair thinking that it takes a really, really long time. I don’t know if their perception of a long time is 6 minutes but if it’s not, prepare to be amazed!

Some side info: my hair is just beginning to graze my nose so it’s about 4” long and I used American Crew Pomade on my entire hair and Murray’s Original on the very front. I don’t know if you’re supposed to mix them but it came out good.

The day before yesterday we were getting very desperate with this whole home buying process being that a home that we were scheduling to view was sold in under 24 hours of its posting. We were beginning to consider the first home we had ever viewed which is the exact definition of a fixer upper. It’s not too old but it was tore the hell up. It needs paint, floors, yard work, roof, etc. It was beginning to look like put only option, all other homes were being bought way too fast for us to even put a bid in. Luckily though, we waited being that it was a bank owned home and offers would not be accepted until Monday. Then Saturday morning came along and I was at work working an earlier shift than scheduled so that I could get off early to watch the 49ers game, when I received an automatic email alert from our agent about a brand spanking new house near home for 108K! I went nuts, forgetting no offers would be accepted until Monday, thinking that because I came in earlier I blew our chances of submitting our offer and getting our house. I was cursing out the housing gods yet again. Until I remembered that we had time, so I texted our agent, told him I’ve seen the pictures I want to place a bid tomorrow morning. He agreed, we drew up a good offer which although exhausts my savings account, grants me an “I told you so” opportunity, as I kept telling my gf that we’ll get engaged once we get the house, I want to have all my money available.

So now here we are. We went to see the house this morning and we fucking loved it. It blew our minds, the pictures did it no justice. The carpets are really bad, they had dogs. But besides that, the floor plan, backyard, closets, laundry room, dining area, EVERYTHING IS PERFECT. So we put in a rather competitive offer that our agent suggested which I feel is good as well. I signed the offer this morning after finishing viewing the house…

I have never been so amped about anything in my life. I want this home more than anything in the fucking world at the moment.

So please housing gods, spare our poor little hearts. It feels like the home is already ours, let us win this bidding war and call this house our home.
